Election of the Trustees

The Board of Trustees is elected directly by the property owners of University Park Subdivision. The Board of Trustees is elected directly by the property owners in University Park Subdivision. Each member is elected to a three (3) year term, with one Trustee being elected each year at the annual Subdivision general meeting in late March or early April.  Any property owner is eligible for candidacy and should attend the general meeting if interested in becoming a Trustee. Nominations will be taken from the floor at the meeting.

Each lot owner is entitled to cast one (1) vote for each full lot owned. Votes may be cast in person at the general meeting or by proxy. Proxies are mailed to each property owner with the annual assessment. If you cannot attend the general meeting but wish to vote for a Trustee, sign and return the proxy to the current Trustees. All proxies received by the time of the general meeting will be divided evenly between the Trustees. Each Trustee will cast his/her proxies for a candidate. Whichever candidate receives the most votes is installed as the new Trustee.

If a Trustee should be unable to fulfill the 3-year commitment, a special election will be held to elect a Trustee to finish the term. The lot owners will be notified at least ten (10) days before the election and will again be given the option to vote via proxy.
